چکیده
Introduction: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is one of the commonest infections after hemopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and it may lead to significant morbidity, mortality can increased healthcare costs. Aim: The aim this work was evaluate relation between neutrophilic lymphocytic count recovery in children with CMV reactivation following HSCT. Method: study included 30 patients who underwent allogenic hematopoietic for non-malignant diseases Abo El-Reesh Al Mounira Pediatric Hospital, Cairo University. Pre- post-transplant clinical laboratory data were collected. Results: developed 69 episodes reactivation. 66.6% 53.5% associated low absolute lymphopenic respectively. early severe counts p value (0.003, 0.006) Conclusion: Neutrophilic an important factor Importance close monitoring viral load among neutropenic strong surveillance detection proper management.

CMV Serostatus of Donor-Recipient Pairs Influences the Risk of CMV Infection/Reactivation in HSCT Patients
CMV donor/recipient serostatus was analyzed in 200 patients allografted in our institution from unrelated (122 patients) donors and 78 sibling donors in the years 2002-2011 in relation to posttransplant complications. On a group basis independently of the CMV serostatus of donor-recipient pairs sibling transplantations and those from unrelated donors that matched 10/10 at allele level had a sim...

T-cell-replete haploidentical HSCT with low-dose anti-T-lymphocyte globulin compared with matched sibling HSCT and unrelated HSCT.
We developed an approach of T-cell-replete haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) with low-dose anti-T-lymphocyte globulin and prospectively compared outcomes of all contemporaneous T-cell-replete HSCT performed at our center using matched sibling donors (MSDs), unrelated donors (URDs), and haploidentical related donors (HRDs). From 2008 to 2013, 90 patients underwent MSD...
متن کاملImmune recovery and the risk of CMV/ EBV reactivation in children post allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation
Immune reconstitution was studied prospectively in 86 children who underwent allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). We analysed the risk of cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation in correlation with the kinetics of immune recovery and in relation to other potential risk factors that may influence the reactivation of these viruses including: diagnosi...
متن کاملThe Implications of Low Absolute CD4 Counts in Patients With Cirrhosis and Human Immunodeficiency Virus
TO THE EDITOR—In their recent study, Baranoski et al [1] describe a high rate of liver disease progression in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-hepatitis B virus coinfection and CD4 counts <200 cells/mm. The authors suggest that more advanced immunosuppression in these patients may lead to accelerated liver fibrosis. Because only 50% of the HIV-infected patients were taking antir...
